Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958, in extremely poor conditions. Her mother was an unsuccessful actor and schoolteacher, sold automobiles, while her father worked as an automobile salesman. Jennifer is the third of four kids in her family, frequently attended her mother to performances in the theater and was much impressed by her. Jennifer's divorce came about when she turned five. Jennifer was a part of her childhood in British Columbia after her mom moved there along with the other four children. Jennifer did not have an excellent education, despite being a gifted kid. The time she spent in Canadian schools caused her to be the frequent target of bullies. Her interest in theater diminished as she entered high school, she began playing in theatre together with her mom. She encouraged all her children to be passionate about the arts. Her immediate response was to take the initiative.
